What can AI agents do for fashion sales and marketing teams today?AI agents can already run fashion workflows such as marketplace PDP copy for each drop, Google Shopping feed fixes, creator seeding with disclosure checks, abandoned cart and back-in-stock messages, and wholesale buyer outreach. Each agent drafts and checks the work against your product data and rules, and a named person approves anything customer-facing before it goes out.

Marketplace-ready PDP copy for every new drop

When a drop is signed off, someone has to write titles, bullets and descriptions for the brand site and for each marketplace, each with its own template. CREA with FOLIO drafts every version from the tech pack and merch sheet, and the ecommerce lead approves instead of writing from scratch. Launches stop waiting on copy.

the workflow

  1. A merchandiser marks a style batch as final in the PIM or drop spreadsheet, with fabric, fit, origin and care data from the tech pack.
  2. Draft site copy for Shopify and channel versions for Myntra, Ajio and Amazon, following each marketplace’s title and attribute template.
  3. Check every fabric, origin and care statement against the tech pack and flag any line the data does not support.
  4. Human approval: The copy set for each channel, with every flagged line resolved or removed.
  5. Push approved copy to Shopify and stage marketplace flat files for the catalogue team to upload.

measure it byTime from sample sign-off to live listing, Listing rejection rate by marketplace, PDP conversion rate

Guardrail. Country of origin and other mandatory declarations under India’s Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules appear on every listing, and words like “sustainable” need substantiation under the ASCI guidelines on environmental claims.

Google Shopping feed fixes for missing apparel attributes

Google Merchant Center requires apparel offers to carry attributes such as colour, gender and age group, plus size for clothing and shoes, or they may not show. MIRA with NIA reads feed diagnostics, proposes fixes from product data, and the performance marketer approves them. Shopping ads and free listings stop losing reach on broken variants.

the workflow

  1. A Merchant Center diagnostics report flags disapproved or limited apparel items after the nightly Shopify feed sync.
  2. Group the issues by cause, such as missing size, colour, gender, age group or item group ID.
  3. Fill the gaps from PIM or variant data and rewrite titles to lead with brand, product type, colour and size where the landing page supports it.
  4. Human approval: The supplemental feed rules and title changes before they go live.
  5. Apply the supplemental feed and recheck diagnostics after the next crawl.
  6. Report which items recovered and which still need data from merchandising.

measure it byShare of apparel items approved, Shopping impression share, Return on ad spend by product group

Guardrail. Feed values must match the landing page under Google Merchant Center product data rules, so the agent never sets a size, colour or price the product page does not show.

Creator seeding for a drop with disclosure checks

Seeding a drop means shortlists, briefs, product dispatch, tracking posts and chasing labels. MIRA with MOXA runs the shortlist, briefs and post tracking, and the influencer manager approves who gets product and what the brief says. Every post is checked for a clear ad label before the brand reshares or boosts it.

the workflow

  1. The drop calendar sets a seeding date and a product allocation for creators.
  2. Shortlist creators from past performance, audience fit and the brand’s creator records, with a reason for each.
  3. Draft briefs with key messages, the mandatory disclosure label and the claims creators must not make.
  4. Human approval: The creator list, product allocation and brief.
  5. Track live posts and check each one for an upfront disclosure label and Meta’s paid partnership tag.
  6. Flag posts missing disclosure to the influencer manager before any reshare or partnership ad runs.

Guardrail. Any material connection, including gifted product, needs a prominent label under the ASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising on Digital Media, and the FTC Endorsement Guides apply to US audiences.

Size and fit notes rewritten from return reasons

Return reasons and reviews usually say exactly where a style runs small or long, but that rarely reaches the product page. CREA with FOLIO reads the weekly returns export and review text, drafts fit notes and size chart corrections, and the ecommerce lead approves them. Shoppers get a clearer size call before they buy.

the workflow

  1. The weekly returns export shows a style where size and fit is the top return reason.
  2. Pull return comments, review text and garment measurements for that style.
  3. Draft a fit note, such as runs small through the shoulder so size up, with model height and size, plus a size chart correction if the measurements disagree.
  4. Human approval: The fit note and any size chart change, signed off with the product team.
  5. Publish to the PDP and marketplace listings, and add the note to the help centre macro.
  6. Compare return reasons for the style over the following weeks.

Guardrail. Fit notes reflect measurements and genuine customer feedback, and reviews are never edited or hidden to support them; the FTC’s 2024 rule on consumer reviews covers US shoppers.

Collection pages built from rising search demand

Shoppers search for things like linen shirts for men or festive kurta sets long before many brands have a page that answers the query. DRIS reads Search Console data each month, proposes new or revised collection pages, and the SEO or ecommerce lead approves them. Category searches land on a page built for them rather than the home page.

the workflow

  1. The monthly Google Search Console export shows rising queries with impressions but no matching collection page.
  2. Map each query to existing products, tags and filters in Shopify.
  3. Draft the collection title, intro copy, filter set, FAQ and internal links.
  4. Human approval: The collection page and the product set behind it.
  5. Publish the page, then track impressions, clicks and ranking for the target queries.

measure it byNon-brand organic clicks to collection pages, Organic revenue by collection, Target queries ranking on page one

Guardrail. Collection copy describes only the products in the set, and a filter such as organic cotton or recycled includes only items whose claim is substantiated under the ASCI environmental claims guidelines.

Abandoned cart and back-in-stock messages on WhatsApp

Abandoned carts and sold-out sizes are where D2C fashion revenue leaks. SERA with CORA picks the right follow-up for each shopper and drafts WhatsApp and email messages that name the exact size and colour, and the CRM manager approves templates and rules. Shoppers hear back when their size returns, not through a generic blast.

the workflow

  1. A shopper abandons checkout or taps notify me on a sold-out size in Shopify.
  2. Check consent for each channel and message category before anything is queued.
  3. Draft the reminder or back-in-stock message with the exact style, size, colour and real stock status.
  4. Human approval: The message templates, timing rules and any discount ladder.
  5. Send through the WhatsApp Business Platform or email, and stop the sequence when the shopper buys or opts out.
  6. Report recovered orders by trigger and channel.
runs on nagentSERA with CORA
connects toShopify, WhatsApp Business Platform, Klaviyo or another email platform, Inventory system
measure it byRecovered checkout revenue, Back-in-stock conversion rate, Opt-out rate by channel

Guardrail. No false urgency or invented low-stock counts under the CCPA Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023, and marketing messages go only to people who opted in under WhatsApp Business messaging policy.

Lapsed customer win-back with early access to a drop

Customers who bought a category two seasons ago and stopped usually get one generic discount code. SERA with LIPI segments them by what they bought and drafts early access invitations built around the new drop, and the CRM lead approves. The message links what they bought before to what is new.

the workflow

  1. The CRM flags customers with no order in a set window who bought a category the new drop refreshes.
  2. Segment them by category, size history and channel consent.
  3. Draft early access emails and WhatsApp messages that reference the category they bought, not personal details.
  4. Human approval: The segments, copy and early access window.
  5. Send, then route replies and size questions to the CX team or Convexa.

measure it byReactivation rate, Revenue per lapsed customer contacted, Unsubscribe rate

Guardrail. Only customers with valid marketing consent are contacted, and their data is processed in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and GDPR for EU customers.

Wholesale buyer outreach for a new season line sheet

Before market week or a trade show, the wholesale team needs appointments with the right department store and boutique buyers. SERA with NORA researches buyers who stock comparable brands, VANI drafts personal invitations around the line sheet, and the head of wholesale approves who is contacted. The calendar fills with buyers who fit the range and price point.

the workflow

  1. The line sheet and trade show dates are finalised in Joor, NuORDER or the wholesale deck.
  2. Build a buyer list from current stockists, lapsed accounts and boutiques that carry comparable brands, with the reason each one fits.
  3. Draft invitations that name the buyer’s store, the relevant categories and the wholesale terms.
  4. Human approval: The target list and each invitation before it is sent.
  5. Send, log replies in the CRM and book showroom or virtual appointments.
runs on nagentSERA with NORA

measure it byBuyer appointments booked, Opening orders from new accounts, Reply rate by segment

Guardrail. Emails to UK and EU buyers identify the sender and offer an easy opt-out under GDPR and UK PECR, and wholesale terms stay within what the head of wholesale has signed off.

Stockist sell-through reviews and reorder prompts

Stockists and marketplace partners send sell-through reports that often sit unread until the next season. SERA with RIVA reads each report, spots styles selling fast or stuck, and drafts reorder or rebalancing proposals for the account manager to approve. Replenishment happens in season, not after it.

the workflow

  1. A stockist or marketplace partner shares a weekly sell-through or inventory report by email or EDI.
  2. Calculate sell-through and weeks of cover by style, size and store.
  3. Flag fast sellers with broken size runs and slow styles that need a transfer or markdown discussion.
  4. Draft a reorder proposal or account note with the supporting numbers.
  5. Human approval: The proposal and any terms before it goes to the buyer.
  6. Log the outcome in the CRM and update the wholesale forecast.
runs on nagentSERA with RIVA
connects toPartner sell-through reports or EDI, ERP such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot or Salesforce
measure it byIn-season reorder value, Sell-through by account, Wholesale forecast accuracy

Guardrail. Pricing and markdown support follow the signed wholesale agreement, and the agent never offers new commercial terms on its own.

Bridal and fine jewellery consultation follow-up

A bridal set or custom engagement ring is a high-value decision with several visits, quotes and design changes. SERA with DEXA keeps each consultation moving and prepares the design and quote summary, and the store or clienteling manager approves every quote. Fewer enquiries go cold between the first visit and the order.

the workflow

  1. A lead books a store or video consultation, or submits a custom ring enquiry on the website.
  2. Pull the enquiry, budget, preferred metal and stone, and visit notes from the CRM.
  3. Prepare a design and quote summary with metal weight, stone details, making charges and taxes from the pricing sheet.
  4. Human approval: The quote and follow-up message before they reach the customer.
  5. Send the summary on WhatsApp or email, book the next appointment and set reminders for the advisor.
runs on nagentSERA with DEXA
connects toSalesforce or Zoho CRM, Store POS or ERP, WhatsApp Business Platform, Appointment booking tool
measure it byConsultation to order conversion, Days from first visit to order, Average order value

Guardrail. Purity and stone claims match the hallmark and certificate on the piece under BIS hallmarking requirements, and quotes show the full price upfront to avoid drip pricing under the CCPA dark patterns guidelines.

Frequently asked questions

Where should a fashion brand start with AI agents?

Start where the work is repetitive, data-rich and easy to check, such as PDP copy for each drop or Merchant Center feed fixes. Both have a clear source of truth in the tech pack or PIM and a clear approver. McKinsey’s State of Fashion 2026 argues that leaders need to move past small pilots, so pick one workflow, run it for a full drop and measure it.

Can agents write fabric and sustainability claims?

They can draft them, but only from evidence you hold, such as a fibre certificate or supplier declaration. ASCI’s guidelines on environmental claims, in effect since February 2024, restrict broad terms like eco-friendly without robust substantiation. In Nagent the Fashion Strategist flags unsupported claims and a person approves the final wording.

What data do the agents need access to?

Most of these workflows run on systems you already have: Shopify or your storefront, marketplace seller portals, Merchant Center, your CRM or email platform, and returns and inventory exports. Agents read the data, draft the work and write back only what a person has approved. Customer data use must follow the consent you hold for each channel.

What happens if an agent gets something wrong?

Agents propose and people approve customer-facing work until an agent earns more autonomy, so errors are meant to be caught at the approval step. The costly mistakes in fashion are wrong sizes or prices in a feed, undisclosed creator posts and unsupported green claims. Each workflow above names the rule it checks against so the approver knows what to look for.
