Best AI agents for B2B sales teams that work from the CRM, not from guesses

Salesforce Agentforce suits teams whose CRM is Salesforce and who have an admin to configure it. HubSpot's Prospecting and Data agents suit teams on HubSpot. Gong and Clari, now on Salesloft, suit leaders who want pipeline and forecast inspection grounded in call data. Outreach suits established teams running sequences at scale. Nagent's Sales team, led by SERA, suits small B2B teams that want sales agents in one workspace with marketing and content, and a person on every send.

We make Nagent, so we say so here and keep our own entry in a clearly marked section. Every other fact comes from the vendor's own site, checked on 24 October 2026. Prices change often; confirm before you buy.

What does "working from the CRM" actually mean?

Every vendor says its agent uses your CRM. The useful test is what the agent does when the CRM is incomplete. An agent that works from the record:

  • Reads before it acts. It looks at the account, contact history and open deal before drafting anything.

  • Says where an answer came from. A pipeline number names the record behind it.

  • Admits gaps. When a close date or contact is missing, it says so instead of filling it in.

  • Proposes changes to fields that matter. Stage, amount, close date and owner are suggested for a person to confirm.

  • Holds outbound for approval until you decide otherwise.

  • Respects permissions. A user who cannot see a deal does not get it from the agent either.

An agent that works from guesses does the opposite: it writes from the open web, overwrites what reps entered and sends without anyone reading.

How did we evaluate these agents?

Five questions, answered from each vendor's own pages:

  1. What data does the agent read, and from which system?

  2. Can a person approve emails and field changes before they happen?

  3. How is it priced, and is the price published?

  4. Who is it built for?

  5. What is the main limitation a buyer should plan around?

Which is best if you run Salesforce?

Salesforce Agentforce.

  • What it is: Salesforce's agent platform. Agentforce Engagement (formerly Lead Nurturing) works new or updated leads and contacts automatically, sends intro emails, answers replies and connects qualified leads to reps (Salesforce Help). Salesforce says AI SDRs send emails and follow-ups based on CRM data and log interactions back.

  • Approvals: Salesforce help lists articles on reviewing and approving agent emails and on queuing them for manual review with a flow.

  • Best for: Salesforce-native teams with an admin or partner.

  • Pricing (checked 24 October 2026): Salesforce Foundations is $0 and includes Agentforce Builder. Flex Credits cost $500 per 100,000, with a standard action at 20 credits. Agentforce add-ons for Sales are $125 per user per month with unmetered employee agent usage. Customer-facing conversations are $2 each (Agentforce pricing).

  • Limitation: Agentforce Engagement needs Enterprise, Performance or Unlimited edition with Sales and Einstein for Sales, and value depends on configuration.

Which is best if you run HubSpot?

HubSpot Agent Hub (Breeze agents).

  • What it is: agents built on HubSpot CRM data, including a Prospecting Agent that monitors buying signals and runs outreach, a Data Agent that answers questions about any contact or company from CRM data, calls, emails and documents, and Smart Deal Progression, which lets you approve CRM updates and follow-up drafts after meetings (HubSpot AI).

  • Approvals: the Prospecting Agent can be set to review and approve each message, or to send without review, with caps on emails and days between them (HubSpot knowledge base).

  • Best for: teams already living in HubSpot.

  • Pricing (checked 24 October 2026): Sales Hub Professional is $100 per seat per month, or $90 on an annual commitment, with 3,000 HubSpot Credits; Enterprise is $150 per seat with 5,000. Onboarding fees are $1,500 and $3,500 (HubSpot pricing). The Prospecting Agent uses 100 credits per lead and the Data Agent 10 credits per response, at $0.010 per credit (HubSpot Credits).

  • Limitation: credit use scales with leads worked, so model the monthly cost at your volume.

Which is best for pipeline and forecast inspection?

Gong

  • What it is: a revenue AI platform built on customer interactions. Its Forecast offering lists unlimited deal boards to inspect pipeline, an AI Deal Monitor and an AI Deal Reviewer (Gong Forecast).

  • Best for: teams with many recorded calls who want deal risk drawn from what buyers said.

  • Pricing (checked 24 October 2026): per user plus a platform fee based on users, by proposal (Gong pricing).

  • Limitation: its strength depends on call and email capture; teams with few recorded conversations get less from it.

Clari, now on Salesloft

  • What it is: clari.com redirects to salesloft.com, which lists Clari Forecast, Inspect for full pipeline visibility, Cadence and AI agents that can trigger deal risk plays (Salesloft).

  • Best for: forecast-led sales organisations.

  • Pricing (checked 24 October 2026): not published; talk to sales.

  • Limitation: buyers should confirm how Clari and Salesloft products are packaged together today.

Which is best for teams that run sequences at scale?

Outreach

  • What it is: an agentic platform for revenue teams with a Research Agent, Deal Agent, Meeting Prep Agent, Revenue Agent, Personalization Agent and Omni Agent. The Deal Agent recommends opportunity field updates from call signals, applied automatically or reviewed by a seller (Outreach AI agents).

  • Best for: established sales teams already sequencing at volume.

  • Pricing (checked 24 October 2026): custom quotes, seat-based plus AI credits, from 10,000 credits on Amplify Essentials to 100,000 on Amplify Pro (Outreach pricing).

  • Limitation: list prices are not published, and the Revenue and Personalization agents start on the Core plan.

Where does Nagent's Sales team fit?

Nagent, led by SERA. We make Nagent, which is multiplayer AI for growth: people and AI agents in one shared context, delivering the number.

  • What it is: a Sales team inside the same workspace as Marketing and Content. SERA, the AI Sales Chief of Staff, answers pipeline questions from the CRM digest: open deals per stage, value per stage and the age of the oldest, plus up to 25 named deals for a deal question. NORA finds and researches accounts against your customer profile and drafts first outreach; LIPI (Beta) and VANI (Beta) write emails from your knowledge and offerings only.

  • Working from the record: SERA never invents a deal, contact, value or close date, and says what is missing. A member who may not read leads gets the stage roll-up and never a named deal.

  • Approvals: NORA refuses to send a draft nobody approved, whatever her level. Agents start at L2 Assist on a five-level ladder from L1 Observe to L5 Lead, and a person decides every promotion.

  • Best for: founders and heads of sales at small B2B companies who want research, outreach drafts and pipeline answers without first hiring a research desk.

  • Pricing: plans on pricing; agent work is metered in credits, visible in the workspace.

  • Limitation: SERA reads the CRM inside Nagent. HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive connect as tools through Composio, which offers hundreds of tools, plus your own API, but they are not SERA's pipeline record; you bring deals in by CSV import (up to 5,000 contacts at a time), forms and booking links. The forecast and scoreboard are not built, and deal execution (DEXA) and revenue operations (RIVA) are coming soon.

How do they compare at a glance?

  • Agentforce: reads Salesforce; review of agent emails available; published per-action and per-user prices; needs an admin.

  • HubSpot Agent Hub: reads HubSpot; review or auto-send setting; published seat and credit prices; credit use grows with volume.

  • Gong: reads calls, emails and CRM; deal boards and AI deal review; price by proposal.

  • Clari on Salesloft: forecast and pipeline inspection; price not published.

  • Outreach: reads conversation data, account history and CRM data; field updates auto or reviewed; custom quotes.

  • Nagent Sales team: reads Nagent's own CRM; approval before every outbound send; credits on published plans; forecast not built yet.

What should you ask in a demo?

  • Show me an answer the agent gave and the exact record it came from.

  • What happens when a close date or contact is missing?

  • Which fields can the agent change without a person, and can I lock each one?

  • Can anyone send an email the agent drafted without approving it first?

  • Where are opt-outs stored, and are they checked at the moment of sending?

  • What does a month cost at our number of reps, leads and actions?

What goes wrong when agents work from guesses?

  • Invented personalisation. An email cites a "recent expansion" that never happened. Cost: a burned prospect.

  • Overwritten fields. An agent resets a close date a rep set after a real conversation. Cost: a wrong forecast.

  • Duplicate outreach. The agent emails a contact already in an open deal. Cost: an awkward call with your champion.

  • Unseen sends. Volume goes out before anyone reads it. Cost: domain reputation that takes weeks to rebuild.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes an AI sales agent CRM-native?

It reads existing records before it acts, names the record behind every answer, proposes rather than overwrites the fields that define the pipeline and logs what it did where your team can audit it.

Should AI agents send sales emails without human approval?

Not at first. Most of the platforms above can review before sending and can also send automatically; start with review and switch only with evidence.

AI sales team platform vs Salesforce Agentforce for a 20-person company: which fits?

If your CRM is Salesforce and you have admin help, Agentforce keeps everything in one system. If you do not, a team that works in its own workspace with approvals built in, such as Nagent's Sales team, needs less configuration to start.

Can AI keep my CRM pipeline accurate and tell me which deals are stuck?

Yes, when it proposes updates for a person to confirm and lists deals that have not moved. Gong, Clari, Outreach and HubSpot all describe versions of this; SERA names the next step and owner for a stuck deal.

How do I set up AI agents for a small B2B sales team without sending spam?

Start narrow and keep a person on the send. One customer profile, an authenticated domain, agents that research and draft, approval on every first touch, volume capped to what a person can read, and opt-outs honoured automatically.

Our pipeline review takes hours and the CRM is always out of date. How are sales teams using AI to fix it?

Slow pipeline reviews and a stale CRM share one cause: status lives in reps' heads, not the record. Teams fix it by letting AI propose CRM updates for reps to approve and prepare the review from the record before the meeting.

Sales Automation

AI Sales Agents vs. CRM Automation for Fashion

Fashion pipelines aren't predictable. CRM automation executes fixed sequences; AI sales agents read context and act before competitors wake up. Discover which tool actually moves pipeline during drops, trade shows, and clearance windows.

AI outbound tool that drafts personalised emails but waits for my approval before sending

Several AI outbound tools draft personalised emails and hold them for a person: Unify queues drafts for approval, Artisan offers approve-before-send, and Nagent's NORA holds every send on a new workspace. Here is how they differ and what real approval should mean.

Speed to Lead: The Only Metric That Matters

Close rates drop sharply in the first hour after a lead arrives. Why speed to lead outranks other sales metrics, and how AI teammates cut the research and drafting time so a person only has to approve the first touch.

How much do AI SDR tools cost per month?

AI SDR tools run from about $20 a seat a month for AI-assisted sequencing to quote-only contracts for autonomous AI BDRs. Here is what 11x, Artisan, Unify, Clay and Apollo publish, what drives the real bill, and how it compares with a human SDR.
