How onboarding works

The path from sign-up to your first approved piece of work in the first hour, then your first day, week and month, what Nagent does at each step, and where to read more.

One real piece of work, approved, in your first hour

Nagent's aim for a new workspace is simple: within an hour of signing up, one of your teams has done a real piece of work and you have approved it. After that, Nagent keeps you in the loop while work waits for you, asks what you think, and looks back with you at one month, one quarter and one year.

Nothing in this path acts on your behalf without you. Every first job ends in something for you to review, nothing is sent until you send it, and no agent is given more room to act on its own unless you decide it.

This page walks the whole path in order. Each step links to the page with the detail.

Your first visit: two ways to set up

The first time you open Home, one card greets you with two ways in. Choose whichever suits you; you can switch at any time.

  • Set up with my team. Opens a conversation with the lead of the first team you chose. The lead asks one thing at a time, explains what each step is for, and offers cards you save with one press. See setting up with your team lead.
  • I'll set it up myself. Takes you through the set-up screens, with one suggested next step at a time.

If a colleague invited you, Home opens on your team's room instead, since set-up is your workspace admin's job.

Nagent reads your website

Press Read my site and Nagent reads your website to draft three things: what you sell, who buys it, and how you sound. It takes a minute or two. If your site cannot be read, one sentence from you about your business does the same job.

Then one question confirms your industry and company size. Not sure is a fine answer; nothing is guessed in its place. Everything drafted here can be changed later on the Products and services and Brand screens.

Your first job

Each team starts with one job that ends in something for you to review.

TeamWhat the first job doesWhat you review
MarketingDRIS checks your home page the way search engines and AI answers read it, and brings back the fixes worth making firstThe top fix. An approved fix goes live once your site is connected; until then it waits, approved
SalesNORA finds up to ten companies that match your buyers and researches the best one, and VANI drafts the first email to itThe draft. Approving sends nothing; the email goes only when you choose to send it
ContentCREA writes a short first post from what your site says, in the voice you confirmedThe post. Approving keeps it in the team room's files; nothing is published

While the job runs, Home shows each step turning done, and its first button always opens the thing to review. Approving it is your first win.

One next step at a time

After the first job, a card on Home, Set up and Teams suggests the one thing that would help most next, such as connecting a tool, describing your buyers or inviting the person who approves work with you. It offers three choices:

  • Show me opens the screen where it is done.
  • Do it with my team asks your team lead to walk you through it.
  • Not now puts it away. It stays away, in every browser.

A step marks itself done when the work is actually done, not when you open the page.

Staying in the loop

Work that waits for you is what most often stalls a new workspace, so Nagent shows it wherever you look and tells you when it waits too long.

  • Waiting work in one place. Anything a team holds for your approval shows once in the Inbox, on Home and in the bell.
  • An email when work waits. When something has waited two hours, the people who can approve it get one email, at most once a day, with a link to approve each item in one click.
  • Since you were away. After a day or more away, Home opens on what ran, what was approved and what is waiting.
  • Your first day and week. Workspace admins get a short recap after their first day and a report after their first week.
  • Check-ins. If you set up with your team lead and asked for check-ins, the lead leaves a short note in your conversation after a day, two days, three days, a week and a month. Never when you simply open a page.
  • A job every week. Any first job can be set to run every week, at the same time, ending in the same review.

Every one of these emails can be stopped with one click, for that workspace only. See staying in the loop.

Telling us what you think

Send feedback is on every screen, and your team lead will pass something on if you ask. After your first win, and once set-up is done, Home asks one short question; at day 30 and each quarter it asks how likely you are to recommend Nagent. Each is asked at most once a week. When something you asked for ships, you hear about it. See sending feedback.

Your reviews

At one month, one quarter and one year, your workspace gets a review at Your review: the week before set against your first week, what you reached, and at most two things that would help most next. Each workspace admin gets it by email on the day, and you can share a read-only link to it. See your reviews.

Growing from there

Once your teams are working every week, Home suggests the next ways to grow, one at a time:

Who sees what

You areWhat you see
A workspace adminThe welcome card with both ways to set up, the next step card, the first jobs, the Day 1 and Week 1 emails, and the review emails
An invited memberYour team's room, the work you may approve, and the feedback questions
An approverWaiting work in the Inbox, on Home and in the bell, and the email when it waits

Common questions

Can I skip set-up? Yes. Press Not now on any step and it stays put away. Your teams still work when you brief them.

Will anything be sent or published without me? No. First jobs end in a review, approving a draft sends nothing, and nothing your agents do runs on its own beyond the autonomy you allow. See approvals and the Inbox.

How do I stop the emails? Use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any of them. It stops them for that workspace only.
